AC motors with spring applied brakes, 120W to 30kW

Lenze type MD 3-phase AC brake motors feature IEC framed standard motors with IE1 or IE2 efficiency combined with INTORQ spring applied brakes. These dc brakes are robust and reliable suiting both dynamic stop and holding duties.

Brake motors fall outside the ErP energy saving regulations that take effect in June 2011. Therefore IE1 efficiency motors are offered. If required from 0.75kW upwards, high efficiency IE2 can be specified

Techdrives ac brake motors are supplied complete with a rectifier for operation of the brake with ac switching. For gravity driven loads and faster response we recommend a separate rectifier and dc switching.

Brakes can be supplied on request with a manual release, different torque ratings and IP65 enclosure. Spares are available worldwide.

Motors can be supplied with blowers
