Double Universal Joints

Precision connections for angles up to 90 degrees

Techdrives double universal joints are precision manufactured for long life at running angles up to 90° and speeds up to 4000 r/min.  They suit shafts from 6 to 50 mm. 

Where double universal joints are used to accommodate the misalignment between two parallel shafts, the output will be smooth running.  Where shafts are not in parallel misalignment there will be a speed variation 4 times per revolution.

Type GD precision double joints have sliding plain bearings.  They suit speeds up to 1000 r/min, shafts 6 to 50mm, dimensions to DIN808. Gaiters are recommended.

Type HD precision double joints have needle roller bearings,suiting speeds to 4000 r/min.  They are maintenance free, shafts 10 to 50mm, DIN808.
