Patlite beacons designed for severe conditions
The type RLR rotating beacon from Patlite is designed for outdoor use and severe environments. Ideal for mobile applications and external signs, the RLR is 162mm in diameter and can be supplied with red, yellow, blue or green lenses. The design includes LED bulbs and other features to achieve a long maintenance free life.
The RLR beacons are enclosed to IP66 and rated for ambient temperatures of -30 to +70º suiting them to practically all outdoor uses. The use of LED bulbs achieves a lifetime at least 20 times longer than incandescent bulbs. Rotation of the lens is achieved by a maintenance free brushless motor rated for 10000 hours operation. To further guarantee trouble-free operation, the RLR is rated to withstand up to 11G shock such as might be encountered with off-road vehicles. Variants are available for 12, 24 and 48 Vdc, also 90-250 Vac.
The Patlite range is available in the UK on the Techdrives website www.techdrives.co.uk Smaller rotating beacons start at 82 mm. Beacons can include audible alarms at up to 90dB or voice messages at up to 94dB. Other options include motors with up to 10 years life, explosion proof beacons for Zone 1 and Zone 2 use, and battery powered portable models.
