Precision planetary gearheads 20 to 1000Nm

Vogel servo panetary gearboxes types MPR and MPG offer high performance, low backlash and long life in a range of rated torques 20 to 1000Nm.  Standard backlash is typically 3-8 arcmins and optionally this can be reduced to below 1.  Exact ratios are available, 3-10 for 1 stage gearboxes, 12-100 for 2 stage models.  Design life is 20000 hours.  Efficiency is high at 95 to 97%.

These servo planetary gearboxes are designed to be combined with servo motors.  A matching range of synchronous and asynchronous motors is available on request.

Type MPR:  gearboxes with shaft output.   NEW models 050 to 300 with increased capacity and reduced backlash.  Output shafts with or without keyway.

Type MPG: gearboxes with face output to ISO 9409 dimensions and particularly short lengths.  Radical load capacity is high.

The catalogue gives values for maximum. acceleration & emergency torques.

Construction:  High quality steels are used with Viton seals and European bearings (taper roller output bearings accept high loads).  Synthetic oil lubrication requires no maintenance for a 20000 hour design life.  Helical teeth on sizes 050 to 300 give reduced backlash and low noise, typically 5dB(A)  below spur gearing.  Standard finish is with black paint to RAL 9005 and protection is to IP65. 

Motor connection is achieved with an easy-to-set backlash free clamp connection.  Gearbox output shafts can be with or without keyway.
