Rubber element couplings for shafts 4 to 67mm

Lovejoy straight-sided jaw couplings are simple and economical shaft to shaft connections for shafts from 4 to 67 mm.  A choice of flexible element (spider) allows the stiffness and rating of the drive to be modified.  11 sizes are available from stock

Type: Torsionally soft to moderately stiff with some backlash

Construction: Hubs in sintered iron or aluminium.  Spider elements have variable hardness which can increase the torque rating (Urethane + 50%, Hytrel + 250 -300%), also the stiffness, but decrease the misalignment capacity.

Applications: General types needing a simple, rugged and low cost coupling.
